Access to affordable housing is a major crisis of our time for many reasons related to income inequality, outdated zoning, cost of construction, and more. The decades to come will continue to see urban growth around the world as economic opportunity centers around cities.

Joseph Vandenorth
Joe Vandenorth is an experienced marketing and communications leader with a deep passion for urban development and sustainable business. He focuses on cultivating community—both online and in real life—and enjoys building and managing marketing teams.
With over a decade of experience, his career has taken him from launching global technology products to leading marketing for GOOD Magazine—an award-winning social impact publication. Other career highlights include driving go-to-market strategy for the development of over 3,000 housing units in Seattle, reimagining digital communications at the City of Santa Monica, and leading communications for the launch of Washington state’s marriage equality campaign. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois’ College of Media and a LEED Green Associate.
Joe lived in LA without a car, and is a big fan of exploring new cities on foot while taking photos of architecture. He is committed to advancing climate action by building more sustainable, equitable communities.
